Default 55 Ne/Mo Djinn Farm Honur Hill

Image Heavy..

So after reading Priceys guide,I noticed a few asking if its possible to solo Djinns outside of Honur Hill as a Necro..well here you guys go.

Honur Hill/Resplendent Makuun

The setup uses Prophecies skills consisting of:

Healing Breeze
Protective Spirit
Orison of Healing
Spiteful Spirit
Insidious Parasite
Mending
Essence Bond
Bathazars Spirit

Attribute sets you can see in the screen as well as the weapons.I use 2 sets for this run.Vilnars Claw / -50 Grim Cesta , Fiery Flame Spitter w/20% enchant / -50 Cesta

Rune Setups:1xSuperior Death
1xSuperior Curse
1xSuperior Blood
2xSuperior Soul Reaping

Heading out of Honur Hill into Resplendent Makuun...

First you'll get your enchants up (Mend,Balts,Essence)...and ahead you'll see Jishol Darksong.Jishol uses Paragon skills and drops the green spear "The Darksong" 15 ^ 50,HP+30 Spear, which sells at this time for between 10-15k.

When dealing with Jishol and his mob the only 3 skills you'll need to worry about maintaining are Healing Breeze,Insidious Parasite and Protective Spirit. You'll most likely need to use Orison a few times, due to the Burning, but heres the strategy.Run into the mob with Prot Spirit and Healing Breeze and Parasite one of the Mokele's,concentrate on killing at least one of these first and shave the mob size down a little,Parasite and SS a Moleke and keep working on the same one.Do not use a melee weapon on them as they will knockdown so just STAND there.Best to take the Shrieker out next with Parasite and SS again.Use only Vilnars Claw setup for this mob because I am pretty sure that if you flash your axe, they get upset.Just do the same on Jishol after the mob size is reduced to 3 and the next thing you know....

well you get the picture right?

Ok well if you just want to avoid that group, run around the rock, but after they die head to the right the arrows on the screenshot will show you where the stairs to head to are located.

So you at the bottom of the stairs, you'll want to run to the top and turn left where that Guard has wandered and you'll come to a tunnel.

Down the tunnel there is a divided route, you'll want to take the right side where the 3 Djinn are.The other side has some baddies you'll not want to mess with at the moment...although...

Anyways the First group will normally always be a Ruby Djinn with 2 Sapphire Djinns hanging out.Target a Sapphire Djinn and run in when the Ruby Djinn is out a little and easily accesible. You'll only want to target Sapphire Djinns,so Prot Spirit,Healing Breeze (because you will be lit on fire.)Ok well your'e on fire,2 Sapphire Djins coming at you and the Ruby Djinn not moving..run up to the Ruby Djinn and SS one of the Sapphire Djinns, make sure youre close enough to the Ruby Djinn that when you cast SS on the OTHER Sapphire Djinn it will still affect him.Thats it,keep pumping Healing Breeze and Orison of Healing like a Demon and dont move, just stand there, use the +20% Fiery Flame Spitter for Djinns or something that gives you that mod for the extended enchants. You wont need to use Insidious Parasite at all on Djinns, you won't have the energy,SS ftw.and you'll get...

Dead Djinns

Second group is down the path a little, just run to the spawn point right in front of you and look to left, you'll see these guys, normally 2 Diamond Djinns,1 Sapphire Djinn,or sometimes the opposite.

Target only the Sapphire Djinn, run into the mob after they regroup and if possible run in between the two Diamond Djinns and just stand there.Use the Sapphire Djinn as your damage dealer and keep casting SS on only him,the Diamonds will drop first and you may need to pop out a fast final SS on the Sapphire to take him down,Orison of healing is your friend with these guys.

...anyways do that and you'll get this...

More Dead Djinns...

So go ahead and run down the path to your right where the arrows are pointing on the screenshot, down to the spawn point and you'll want to stay to the right.

Nasty mob here with Ethers and one Ruby.Well youre going to have to run by them which isn't that hard, just hug the wall to the left and boogie by.If they lock on just keep running and they might break aggro soon enough..head to the end where the arrow is showing.

Next theres another group,Sapphirex2,Rubyx1,repeat and rinse..keep going, repeat and rinse...

Behemoths are nasty looking buggers...

They done blowed up real good though.

Happy Hunting.

Djinns will drop Essences that can be salvaged into Rubies/Sapphires or Diamonds. They also drop nice golds (mostly Scythes) and Daggers (normally Jewelled or Ruby form) and if they are inscribed, just pop a "Measure for Measure" inscription into it and you are more likely to salvage a gem from those as well.Although you don't necessarily need to put the inscription in to get a gem.Use Superior Salvage kits.

Also the Moleke drop daggers as well that can be salvaged for gems.

as a side note,if you only want to solo the Djinn you can drop Parasite alltogether and replace it with Blessed sig maybe??..(untested, although should be fine).

as for energy/hp regen...just dont over-spam Healing Breeze and Prot Spirit..wait until they start blinking to refresh them and use Orison in between to pop your health back up..Orison only costs 5 mana to cast, while Healing Breeze will cost 10 each time..you may want to switch to a -20 hp offhand instead of the -50 just for that extra few pips of health if you're trying for Djinns only,I tend to rampage all mobs so I run the same build through each time so parasite will stay in my bar, but doesnt NEED to be in there if it's only Djinn you want to farm.SS is all you'll need.

The odds of salvaging a rub/sapphire? Probably not worth the time meh.

It's worth the time...you need rubies and sapphires for the new nightfall armor.

Tried it a few times, works nicely. Haven't salvaged a gem yet though. How often do you get a gem?

I heard the odds is 1/50 for essenses, so far I only got 2 gems out of the 100-150 essenses salvage.

I'll have to agree with you Kess, salvaging from essences (at least in my experience) hasn't been uber great, but that being said you'll normally walk out with some nice items. If you're really lucky on one run at any given time you'll walk away with something decent.

Other than getting the odd rare drop or buying from merchants or players I don't know if theres any other way of obtaining Rubies or Sapphires, except farming certain enemies that drop more than others.Unfortunatey,or fortunately,Djinns,Moleke and Bull Trainers are your best choice (as far as I know),to even bother trying to get these items from.Trade contracts are also another way but I don't see that being a viable alternative.

I'm personally finding the solo Vehjins Mines, better for looking for Rubies or Golds, just because Moleke and Bull Trainer Giants provide a good chance of dropping items that salvage into Rubies,Daggers from Moleke and Pillaged Goods from Bull Trainers (which are the equivalent of Stolen Goods from Yetis in Factions which supply rare materials when salvaged.)
